Delacolline Estate was conceived by a group of enthusiastic wine loving friends and vine planting was initiated in 1984. The first commercial wine production occurred in 1991, and since then there have been some alteration to the varietal mix as we strive to achieve the best grape production for our location.

Our wines have received a number of awards, the best so far being a gold medal and trophy for the 2001 Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blend in the Adelaide Wine Show of that year.

Dela Collina Sparkling Red - N/V Predominately Shiraz fruit with Merlot & Cabernet from vintages 03 04 05 stunningly refreshing, slightly spicey, light wine with a ever lasting fine bubble.

Chardonnay 04 - Two palecon of 04 were lost in the shuffle but to our delight the wine has developed nicely only lightly wooded (French Oak) with the subtle melon flavours and a lovely buttery finish on the pallet.

Chardonnay 08 - A very lightly wooded Chardonnay with citrus & honey tones.

Riesling 05 - This 05 Riesling has developed beautifully with a well rounded softer pallet slight honey characters and a light acid finish.

Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 08 - Although such a wine should be consumed young the 08 is still one of our favourites with a grassy nose and crisp gooseberry flavours the Sauvignon Blanc continues to be our white flagship.

Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 05 - This wine, has surprised us. The earthy characters of asparagus and capsicum have mellowed up front and the lively gooseberry flavours of the Semillon have come to dominate the mid and later palate and make this wine an ‘old white to enjoy’. Great with chicken and pork

Vintage Merlot 04 - The Merlot fruit for 04 was a delight full berries with a hint of mulberry. A light and lively Merlot with time spent on both new and 2nd use wood the mulberry characters are subtle.

Vintage Cabernet / Merlot 03 - The fruit and flavour of this wine is reserved and reflective. It is a full bodied wine with complex development of cassis and mulberry with firm oak treatment. This wine shows steady bottle maturation and wine continue to improve for several years yet. Not a sprinter but is a recognised stayer. Try it with game or meat pie dishes.

Shiraz/Cabernet 2004 - This wine has been rested in new and used barriques for 34 months and is dominated by plum and our peppery Shiraz it is well balanced with a dryness that leaves you salivating.

Shiraz 2008 - A fresh robust wine with huge fruit characters and pepper on middle & back palate.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 - A delightful big soft fruity wine with blackberry hint of mint and typical cabernet tannins.
